Heidi Klum launches womenswear

Heidi Klum cannot be stopped if she wants something very much. The model, who was forced to quit on her jewelry line after Van Cleef & Arpels filed a lawsuit against her, is planning to launch a feminine clothing range.

The line is described as “a pervasive lifestyle collection” for fall 2010. It will begin from shoes — 48 styles actually. The inspiration is apparently the same as every celebrity’s with a fashion line — her own closet.

The shoes will be “feminine with a bit of a fashion and rock ‘n’ roll edge.” And of course the range will include clothes, dresses, and bathing suits.Heidi’s maternity collection will be available in February. And then it is planned to promote the new range on Project Runway with challenges for the designers to create pieces for her lines.

In 2007 Heidi Klum was served with a lawsuit by luxury jeweler Van Cleef and Arpels, claiming she copied a vintage clover jewelry design on the pendant she wore a lot to the Project. Heidi stated she had found inspiration for “her signature clover motif in a cathedral in Milan, Italy“. The case was later dismissed.
