Know The History Of Fashion Designer Logos!

Every famous brand has a fashion logo we recognize it by. Usually it is small and simple but some logos are elaborate and mysterious. Now I am going to tell you the history of logos of a few most significant world fashion houses.

Lacoste is an old and reputable brand. Their logo – the tiny green alligator – is known to everyone who likes fashion. In 1933 Jean Rene Lacoste founded a company that produced tennis shirts. A tennis player himself Jean Rene had a sports nickname Alligator. One of his friends drew a picture of little crocodile just for fun. But soon that became the logo of the brand which is now known to everyone.

Fendi. Two reverse-reading F letters are often compared to a puzzle, so intricate the Fendi logo looks. It was Karl Lagerfeld who invented the logo for the fashion house founded by spouses Edward and Adele Fendi. The beautiful logo is now a favorite print in Fendi colletions. It is featured on majority of designs: clothing, belt buckles, handbags, sunglasses, etc.

Chanel logo features interlocking back-to-back, overlapping double C. The famous logo was first introduced to the fashion world in 1925. It was featured on a bottle of Chanel #5 perfume. Soon after that it was used everywhere.

There are a few versions giving the history of the logo. According to the one of those Mikhail Vrubel was the very person who in 1886 depicted two horseshoes that resembled the modern Chanel logo. Other story says that two crossed horseshoes are just a symbol of success and luck. However, we believe, that the logo comprises the initials of Coco Chanel – the founder of the French designer house

Calvin Klein brand was established on November 19, 1942 года. The logo had been invented at the same time but for some reason it first became public only 30 years later when the designer launched a jean line. The logo was placed on a back pocket of every pair. The company logo – CK – is easy to remember and associate with the brand. Soon the logo was used not only for recognizing the label but for surfing through collections. The logo of dark color is used on Haute Couture clothing, grey logo is for regular garments while the white logo is for sportswear.

Hermès is a French designer corporation that is directly linked to impeccable taste and high-class style. The Hermès designer logo depicts a horse and carriage which highly symbolic for the brand. Hermès family have used this logo to show how their company evolved with the changing times.

Burberry Prorsum. The history of legendary Burberry Prorsum dates back to 1856. That year Thomas Burberry opened his first shop selling ready-to-wear clothing. The designer invented the technology of making waterproof material – gabardine – and used it to make raincoats and trench coats for soldiers. In 1901 Burberry already had a big order for these outfits which he marked with his new logo – a figure of knight in armor suit with a flag that read ‘Porsum’.

Versace logo is symbolically linked to Greek mythology, which shows the snake-entwined head of Medusa, an evilish character from Greek mythology, who turned onlookers into stone. The designer logo was invented in 1978 by Gianni Versace who was obsessed with classic themes. So, the medusa was the best option for him as “she is the epitome of fatal attraction”.

Kim Kardashian’s Shoulders Look Huge

Kim Kardashian knows how to flatter her voluptuous figure but sometimes she fails, just like any other woman. Yesterday the E! reality star appeared at Macy’s department to promote her aptly-named perfume, Kim Kardashian. She wore a pretty black mini dress with floral design and a short tuxedo-style jacket with strong shoulders. While the dress looked cute on Kim the jacket did add a lot of volume to her already massive top. The figure looked unbalanced in the result. The shoes were wonderful though.

Half of Us Text the Same Person 90% of the Time

Scientists trying to identify trends that show how modern technology is influencing communication have discovered that 50% of people text the same person 90% of the time. Further, a text message session, with much to-ing and fro-ing of texts, can last between two and twenty minutes. After this time, replies will be less frequent, or cease. Look at the conversations you have with your friends. This pattern can be seen in much face-to-face communication, too. When you sit and have a chat with your friends, there is usually a brief burst of initial interest in the topic, followed by diminishing interest and then a change in topic, or brief gap of no conversation, where everyone goes back to eating, drinking or playing their computer game. So, it seems that while the medium may be changing, our basic communications are pretty steadfast.

Findings have been released for one-to-one SMS conversations. Trends for group chat, online messenger and social networking communications have yet to be researched.

You already know that Victoria Beckham is not going to stop on the creation of dresses only. She has designed a range of sunglasses, and a few pictures have already been released. Victoria posted the first photo on Twitter several days ago. And yesterday another picture appeared with her husband David wearing that very pair.

The Classic Aviator in the ‘Sky’ color looked great on smiling David who lay with his tattoo-covered biseps resting behind his head.

It was a wise idea of Victoria to use her handsome husband in promotion of her range. He might not be the official face of the line but this picture of him will definitely arouse interest in the product.

Modern day Audi Quattro is coming..

Audi stunned us at the recent Paris Motor Show when it unveiled the Quattro concept, which pays homage to the original Quattro that pioneered the automaker's now signature all-wheel-drive system. It shares its underpinnings with those found on the hot RS5 coupe, packing 408 horsepower and weighs less than 3,000 pounds.

For those who dreamt of a production version, that dream may become a reality according to Autocar. Audi has reportedly been advancing plans for a limited production run of the Quattro, assembled on a dedicated line at parent company Volkswagen's newly acquired design firm, Italdesign. Stefan Reil, head of development at Audi's Quattro Gmbh division, told Autocar that the automaker is "rethinking standard processes to make it possible," and that Audi "know[s] how to engineer it already."

If the Quattro concept gets the green light, power would likely come from a tuned version of the turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-five found in the TT RS, producing somewhere around 350 horsepower. Although It's not the 408 hp unit that Audi originally quoted, if the sub-3,000-pound weight is kept in order, it should still make for one heck of an interesting performer.

Color Your Dress On The Go With The All New ‘Pseudomorph’ From Anouk Wipprecht

With the increasing advancements in technology, virtually every aspect of our lifestyle is now being altered and intense efforts are being conducted to create seamless balance co-existence between our daily lives and technology. As far as technology is concerned, not even the so called ‘orthodox’ realm of fashion is left untouched as designer strive to bring technology closer to the fashion home. One such step taken by Dutch designer, Anouk Wipprecht, virtually guarantees to further close the gap between these two entities.

Termed as ‘Pseudomorph’, this incredible new line of clothing has been designed to give the consumers the freedom to color their dresses as per their choice, on the go and whenever they so wish to. The principle behind Pseudomorph involves the use of moving liquids to create new patterns of paint on a dresses while they are adorned. Mr. Wipprecht took a clean white dress and fused it with an assortment of electronic equipments, including some recycled medical supplies, along with a custom made neck brace. All the ingredients are then connected to the neck brace via a series of tubes, that emerge from a pack work at the back of the dress, that holds the preferred colors chosen by the wearer. The pack when filled with color, is then programmed with a handful of pneumatic values, that then allows the pack to send the desired colors to the dress, thereby coloring it as per the wearer’s wishes,

Are You A Fashion Victim?

The term ‘fashion victim’ was introduced by Oscar de la Renta who predicted that fashion obsession millions of women suffer from nowadays. Despite the fact this is not actually the disease year by year more and more people get subject to the influence of fashion. And the interesting thing is these people do not always have good fashion sense or style, they just consider it important to follow the latest trends.

The first fashion victims were French girls that lived in the XVIII century. These fashionistas used to wear light chiffon kerchiefs in severe winter frosts and in the result got colds and died. As time passed the situation only got worse.

In the modern world you can consider yourself a fashion victim if:

- Brands are of utmost importance for you. You can spend all your salary on a Gucci bag and then live the whole month with an empty pocket.

- It is essential for you to have a fashionable piece from the latest collection. All those from old collections don’t make you happy at all.

- You copy the reputable fashion icons’ styles blindly.

- You don’t recognize natural beauty.

- You like shopping so much that can spend days doing it.

- You are fond of makeup. You have fake eyelashes, your hair is dyed or you have hair extensions.

- Your tan is fake and you have tanning beds more often than it is really necessary.

- You believe that clothing can be uncomfortable but it should be beautiful and fashionable.

- You go on diets on the regular basis.

- You have had plastic surgery or plan to have it.

- You wear high heels every day.

If at least three of these conditions are true about you, be sure you are a fashion victim. And you definitely should do something about it because this passion can lead to really bad consequences. I hope this post will help you realize fashion is not everything. There are other, far more important things in life.

How To Copy Justin Bieber’s Style

With Bieber Fever spreading all over the world incredibly fast the number of fans willing to copy their idol’s fashion style is increasing day by day. And do you know what’s the most amazing about it? You can find a la Justin Bieber clothing in nearly every store, all you need is to coordinate those in the right way.

So, what you should start with? The fantastic-looking sneakers! You must have noticed that Justin never appears in public wearing shoes. He always rocks sneakers. If you can afford it you should buy at least two pairs: black and of a bright color, like neon yellow, vivid violet or vibrant red. Besides, you can just use bold-colored laces.

Go on with jeans, simple and straight, of dark or light color – no matter actually. No bright hues are allowed. Justin Bieber prefers to play on accessories rather than major items.

Dark-toned t-shirt is the next thing you need to copy JB’s style. In fact, you can choose the light tee as well or even the bright one. But if you’ve opted for the bright t-shirt try to match it with the color of your footwear. For special events you can go for a fancy shirt with a bowtie or an ordinary tie.

As you might know dressing in layers is very fashionable now and Justin Bieber seems to be aware of this fact. He often wears jackets (denim or polyester), vests, windbreakers, hoodies or even cardigans over his tee-shirts. These can come in subdued colors or be live enough to allow the wearer to stand out.

To finish the look in Justin Bieber’s style you can add a stylish pendant on a long chain, a pair of funky sunglasses or a watch.

As you see it is not really difficult to look like Justin Bieber. With a bit of imagination you can create your own style on the basis of this star’s, and that’s going to be much more interesting than to be just a JB copy!

Top 10 Dating Tips

Whether you are new to the dating scene, are reentering the dating scene, or are a serial dater, you can use dating tips and advice. No one is a dating expert – even the most beautiful and wealthy people all struggle with matters of the heart. Everyone can learn something about how to date more, how to attract the types of people we want to attract, and how to make sure initial chemistry blooms into an enduring relationship.

The truth is, there are no magic formulas, no fail-proof tricks, no cunning ways of trapping Mr. or Miss Right. There are however some essential facts that you should always bear in mind along the way. Dating tips are just that -- tips, not one-size-fits-all guarantees. Different tacks will work for different people. It depends on the situation, who we are, where we are in our lives, etc. However, there are some threads of advice that are fairly universal and can benefit anyone who practices them:

Top 10 Dating Tips

1.Get prepared for dating. If you really want to succeed in the dating game, be ready to commit to dating. Half-heartedness won't work. In fact, it won’t even get you half-way. If you really want to date, put some effort into it. Do some research and think about what you want out of dating. Prepare yourself for the inevitable rejection we all face at some point in dating and commit not to give up.

2.Get your act together. Begin a regime of looking your best. Join a gym, read health magazines, get fit and start a diet. Get your hair cut or styled and begin a new regime of good grooming or beauty treatment. Though it will not find you a date in itself, you will feel a million times more confident about yourself, and others can sense that.

3.Go shopping and treat yourself to new clothes and even a whole new look. Get your image right, one that you can manage and live with, but one that flatters you. Don't try to be someone you’re not, but amplify and accentuate your positives. Throw out those tired jeans, old sweaters or cardigans and spruce yourself up. Your date will appreciate that you demonstrated some effort.

4.Think about what you want to gain from dating and what timeframes you expect. Do you see yourself married within 2 years? If you do, then approach dating accordingly. If you are more laid back and don't take dating too seriously then ask yourself some honest questions about why you are dating and what you hope to achieve. If it is purely sex then ask yourself if you are about to be honest with those you hope to date.

5.Surround yourself with people who will support your dating aims. By following the first four tips you will feel better and be more focused. Don’t sabotage this by sitting around with friends who are negative about love and relationships (often the married ones). Start attending social functions frequented by singles. Sitting alongside couples at dinner parties in suburbia is not necessarily where you need to be right now.

6.Choose those you have a good chance of dating. Be realistic. In other words, your dating is based on the whole package you present as well as just your personality. If you are looking for a glamour girl or boy and want to date someone trendy and gorgeous, great! Just know that others will expect you to be the same.

7.Join clubs, societies, sports events, drama groups -- anything that might help you meet like-minded potential partners. You will not meet people by staying indoors and playing video games – many have tried and failed at this approach.

8.Take time off from dating occasionally if it’s not going well or causing dating fatigue. Recharging your batteries and keeping confidence and optimism levels high is an absolute must. We all hit rough patches, but don’t let your search for love become a death march. Date in phases if necessary.

9.Enjoy dating for what it is, dating. It is meeting people and socializing and spending time in the company of stimulating individuals who may or may not play a bigger part in your life down the road. The fact is, most people have something interesting to offer. While you may not be out on the dating scene looking for new friends, you may well find one or two fabulous people along the way.

10.Never make yourself too available. People like mystery and enigma and the thrill of the chase when dating. As part of keeping up the mystery, do not sleep with your dates early on. The longer a person is made to chase and fall for you within reason, the more likely that love may blossom. (And yes, this goes for both men AND women!) If the chemistry peaks too early, your emotions may never have time to catch up and the relationship will eventually wither away.

Ali Lohan Promotes Lindsay’s Designs

With all those negative responses to Lindsay Lohan’s latest behavior we have almost forgotten about her 6126 Spring/ Summer 2011 collection that is soon on the shelves. Lindsay’s little sister Ali offered her services to promote the line.

The 16-year-old model Ali Lohan wore a few dresses from Lindsay’s 6126 collection for the photoshoot. Some of the outfits looked more than revealing for such a young girl. But Ali looked much older than her real age at the photos.

The super-short sheer dress that leaves Ali’s cleavage and shoulders exposed looks very sexy and reveals the girl’s underwear. The black lace trouser suit is beautiful but it is also very transparent.

Well, I think there will be hardly a piece that is demure in this collection. But these are all Lindsay’s creations and that means they are reflections of her own taste. So, what should we expect then?
