Levi’s Engineered Jeans 10th Anniversary Hand Painted Denim

In celebration of Levi’s® Engineered Jeans® 10th birthday, Levi’s® has created 99 pairs of limited edition hand painted anniversary jeans, based on the original ‘First Standard’ fit from 1999.

The limited edition reissues each feature a unique hand painted blast finish, in a bright bold colour palette. The fabric is a recreation of the original used in 1999, an innovative mix of cotton and hemp in an intense green-cast indigo shade. It is woven on a narrow loom with solid green selvage and finished with 18 carat gold buttons cast from the original moulds.

The truly groundbreaking blueprint for the original Levi’s® Engineered Jeans® was inspired by a quirk in the original Levi’s® 501® jeans right-hand twill fabric construction which caused the legs of vintage Levi’s® 501® jeans to twist to the left.

These limited edition jeans are presented in an exclusive commemorative box with a coordinating paint blasted finish. Levi’® Engineered Jeans® 10th Anniversary Painted Jeans are exclusively available at oki-ni.com and Cinch from July while stocks last.
