Ruby Rose has taken some time out from pashing the cast of Australia’s Next Top Model, to sign on as the model for Bonds’ new Summer Tee. Rose is lucky enough to have a pretty photogenic bunch of best mates - Tyler Atkins, Courtney McLellan and Stef Mitchell - who joined her in the shoot.
Bonds are famous for the old raglan-cut T-shirt that is absolutely impossible to print designs on. Pretty much your only way of customising those tees was to cut the neck out or snip off the arm bands. The new tees that will be out in July are designed for customisation, tackling the old reliable American Apparel blank head on.
Unlike old Bonds tees, summer's model is made of a type of knit that takes ink, in three styles. Bonds had previously pushed their "Australian" credentials in the battle against American Apparel's easy to use T-shirt blanks. But that argument went down the shitter out the window when the company shipped its manufacturing off-shore.
