Ronnie Wood to start Designing

Another rock star decided to join the list of those creating fashionable items for us. This time it’s Ronnie Wood, the Rolling Stones guitarist. It is reported that he has teamed up with British heritage store Liberty of London to launch his own clothing line.

The range is to be called Ronnie Wood for Liberty London. According to an official statement it will include “fuse rock ‘n’ roll and floral patterns in a cauldron of mixed media innovation.”

Speaking in ordinary language we will be offered travel holdalls, clutch bags, men’s T-shirts and women’s jersey dresses, all with images of Wood’s paintings, which have been adapted by Liberty’s creative director Tamara Salman.

The fashion line is to be launched this autumn. Talking about the collaboration with Liberty Wood said:
“I wanted to work with Liberty of London because of the great tradition that Liberty has of artistic collaborations.”

The 62-year-old Wood is not the first rock star to recently start his own clothing range.

As you probably remember Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher unveiled his line earlier this month.

Telling about his decision to move into fashion Liam said:
"The reason I’m doing it is I like clothes. We’re going to do clothes I like. If people like it, cool. If they don’t, they don’t.”

Liam’s range consisted of T-shirts, crew necks, parka jackets, polka dot scarves, shoes and knitwear.
