Baby Burberry

THE yummy mummy enclave of London's W10 is set to become even yummier with the addition of Burberry's first UK childrenswear store on Westbourne Grove.
Expect to see designer-clad mini me-s as the brand translates its signature, pared-down aesthetic, iconic check, quilting and that trench coat for a very junior audience, aged from newborn to 14 years-old.

"We are thrilled to be opening our first freestanding childrenswear store here in London," says Angela Ahrendts, Burberry's chief executive officer. "The store on Westbourne Grove in Notting Hill is in a great location and in a wonderful family neighbourhood."

Stylish tots will be in for a treat during the weekend of April 4, 5 and 11, with a fun-packed schedule of instore events including face-painting and balloon artistry on the cards.
This latest opening comes during a very busy period for the brand, which has opened two childrenswear stores in Dubai and Kuwait this week alone as part of its global, retail-led expansion plan that has seen Burberry grow - not in baby steps, but in leaps and bounds - with four childrenswear stores opening in this quarter alone.
