Color Your Dress On The Go With The All New ‘Pseudomorph’ From Anouk Wipprecht

With the increasing advancements in technology, virtually every aspect of our lifestyle is now being altered and intense efforts are being conducted to create seamless balance co-existence between our daily lives and technology. As far as technology is concerned, not even the so called ‘orthodox’ realm of fashion is left untouched as designer strive to bring technology closer to the fashion home. One such step taken by Dutch designer, Anouk Wipprecht, virtually guarantees to further close the gap between these two entities.


Termed as ‘Pseudomorph’, this incredible new line of clothing has been designed to give the consumers the freedom to color their dresses as per their choice, on the go and whenever they so wish to. The principle behind Pseudomorph involves the use of moving liquids to create new patterns of paint on a dresses while they are adorned. Mr. Wipprecht took a clean white dress and fused it with an assortment of electronic equipments, including some recycled medical supplies, along with a custom made neck brace. All the ingredients are then connected to the neck brace via a series of tubes, that emerge from a pack work at the back of the dress, that holds the preferred colors chosen by the wearer. The pack when filled with color, is then programmed with a handful of pneumatic values, that then allows the pack to send the desired colors to the dress, thereby coloring it as per the wearer’s wishes,
