Stressin’ and fussin’

Holla to the peeps checking us out right now.

Warm appreciation from the JV crew right here for spending your precious time with us.

We like to talk about Stress. More importantly, the dire feeling that you have got the weight of the whole world on your shoulders and you can no longer move or think properly.

There are times in our life where we will feel down and out. Like how saddened JFK was when political schemes backfire in a depressed new America, like Lebron James when he was sent home despite putting up a god-like performance against the Celtics in the playoffs 2010, like how low our dignified Minister Mentor felt when Singapore was ejected from Malaysia on 9 Aug 1965.
We can’t deny that pain and suffering will intersect our lives every so often. Some call it God’s Will, Insha’Allah, Academics say its probability and nonchalant observers will deem it part and parcel of life. We all agree it fits undoubtedly into the grand scheme of things, but how do we deal with it then?
Our lovers’ whims and grunts, our parent’s nagging, teacher’s homework piling in, boss’ unruly amount of work tasked, so much work, so little time. Stresses get us down when we run out of time and our mind goes on a one-way track of self-destruction and denigration. We have to meet requirements, analyse data, study for work, tests, exams, finish projects, tasks, homework, research, learn, absorb, do, find, redefine and so much more in whatever limited constraints we already don’t have.
It is not hard to give in to the stressing and fussing. To admit defeat, raise the white flag, call it a day and back down from the woes plaguing your soul, making your mind weary and worn. Come on, we all know how stressful it can be and most of us have tried or at least contemplated about such dreadful thoughts before. It may seem like the easier way out but what fun would there be?
The JustVim Crew suggest, like a rarefied thought equivalent to an intergalactic cosmic meteoric collision, it wouldn’t hurt to take a chance. Do prioritise and take a breather first, then map out your goals, what you want, can or can’t do, and make them happen. Don’t focus on the fussing and put your mind at ease, cogitating rather, on the simple, unobtrusive stuff like how beautiful life would be if you do it right, it’s a charm that works, not everytime, but it helps.
If you focus on all the stresses and pitfalls you occasionally stumble into, you would never end up with anything useful or productive. Imagine the 2010 NBA playoffs, if Dwight Howard and Jameer Nelson had given up their dreams and their hopes for the Orlando Magic when they consecutively lost 3 games to the Boston Celtics, there wouldn’t be the drama, the intensity, fervor and passion. Though they lost 4-2 eventually, the whole world knows how hard they fought, their drive to win, their amazing ability to fight back and dispatch all their doubters. For the record, Magic didn’t lose, it was the Celtics that won, by iron-will, indomitable spirit, dominating heart and overcoming the stressin’ and fussin’.

Bottom-line: The Crew hope that none of you out there let life’s stresses get you down. Embrace and take pride in knowing that without such obstacles in our life, it wouldn’t be as fruitful and beautiful as it would be. When you have overcome these hurdles and willed yourself into triumphant success, smile and soak up all the glory in the aftermath---because you deserve it.

Peace and have as stress-free day!

JV
