Steering wheels are 9 times filthier than a public toilet
According to a British survey, 80 bacteria are found per square inch in a toilet and around 700 bacteria lurk in every square inch of your car especially the steering wheel. The study reveals that around 42% of the motorists eat meals while driving. The boot of the car takes the cake when it comes to the dirtiest part in the car with around 1300 bacteria per square inch. The most common bugs found in cars are the bacillus cereus (found in rice, pasta, potatoes and pies) and the arthrobacter (found in soil and human skin). I wonder if the average American steering wheel will be equally dirty or better?
