TAGHeuer Catalogue Book

Finally, dug out the TAGHeuer catalogue book that we received previously (Forgotten how long ago it was)
Had the time to flip through each pages thoroughly for today. Was amazed by how they portray their watches with the models.
Sometimes you just need time to interpret what they are trying to show (like the picture above, watch or model?)

The one with only Brad Pitt's Face.

And the catalogue is really something worth spending time to look on. All the watches are really pretty (Of course the price too) !

The other booklet with all TAGHeuer handphone.

Pictures and catalogue continue

Total fascination of watches. :)

Samsung NX10 may come in at 2010

Samsung are walking on unfamiliar turf but it doesn’t seem that they’re having any problem at all. The Samsung NX10 comes along with removable lenses and a special system developed by Samsung that will separate it from the system that runs most of the SLRs these days.

I wonder what this 14.6 MP wonder will throw up when it arrives at CES 2010. If the release date is something earlier, then we’re all ready.

Eva Longoria to Launch Fragrance

Eva Longoria has created a new scent Eva that is light and not overpowering. She collaborated with Falic Fashion Group to work on the fragrance. The process was very ‘complicated’ but the ‘Desperate Housewives’ star enjoyed it a lot.

She said:
"I have always been somewhat allergic to all perfumes…so I decided to create my own fragrance that is light, fresh and unique. I never knew how complicated it was to create a unique scent that hasn’t already been done, but I enjoyed the process.”

Eva by Eva Longoria will go on slae in the US next spring and worldwide later in the year.

4th generation iPhone may have 5MP camera, more on Apple tablet

Now there’s a buzz in the Apple fan-camp. With the hot, hot, hot release of the 4th generation iPhone on the way, we can expect to see something as good as a 5 MP camera replacing the 3.2 megapixel on in the current rendition. Omnivision Technologies is said to be shipping about 40-45 million image sensors for the iPhone. So we can clearly see the optimism in Apple’s eyes. There’s also some gossip on the Apple tablet. It may be on display next month itself! Following Google’s Nexus One, we can surely see a maelstrom out there.

However, we have to wait and see what’s coming our way first since the describe gadget is supposed to have a large display screen. So it can be any of the two.

Kate Moss – Always New

Kate Moss is a fashion icon and no one can make me change my mind. She has something special in her looks and personality that attracts people, that mesmerizes them.

Famous photographer Nick Knight had plenty of chances to shoot the supermodel and he claims she was fantastic.

He said:
"I’ve known Kate for many years and she’s a fantastic model. She can put a little black T-shirt on and make it look like the exact T-shirt you want to buy this season. And that’s a real skill – she understands the narrative in clothing, and expresses that perfectly. That’s her great skill.”

To add to that Knight insists he never grows tired of photographing Kate because she’s always got something new to offer.

He added to grazia.co.uk:
"No, it’s never hard to come up with anything new for Kate. It’s a conversation that keeps on going. She’s always got something fascinating to say and I’m always very excited to meet her and to see her again. I never tire of photographing her.”

Nikon x Porter DSLR Camera Carrying Case

Nikon pairs up with Porter for an official take on the classic DSLR Camera Case. Simple and sophisticated, the case takes on more of a shoulder bag silhouette with various features implemented to compliment your camera carrying needs. In addition to three colorways, the bags are constructed with a Teflon-treated waterproof exterior for extensive outdoors use. All are now available at Nikon Direct.

Emily Blunt’s fear of fashion faux pas

Emily Blunt feels terrified each time she needs to step on the red carpet. The Devil Wears Prada actress confessed that awards season is something she always gets nervous of , because it means she would be judged again, all over, especially her fashion choices. And this fear obviously bears little unpleasant accidents the star often has.

She said:
"I always get that panic when I step out of the car that everyone is going to hate it. I’ve had zippers that have broken too. Once when I was about to go on The Ellen Degeneres Show, my sister looked at the back of my legs and went ‘Ohmygod!’ I had a huge ladder up the back of my leg and the women on the show had to run around like chickens without their heads on to find me some new stockings.”

Emily has also revealed she doesn’t like corsets much as her body is left numb from wearing those. When she was starring in The Young Victoria she had to wear extremely restrictive corsets. She couldn’t feel her body during shooting.

However, practice helps and Emily has got used to this type of lingerie too and knows how to ease the discomfort from it.

She said:
"I learned how to survive when they lace you tight. It takes getting used to. You must inhale so your rib cage expands. This way, after you’re all done up you can have room to breathe.”

BAPE x Fujitsu Notebook PC

Nigo previews a new 2010 collaboration from BAPE, alongside computer company Fujitsu. Implementing A Bathing Ape’s signature camo print, Fujitsu’s mini notebook received a makeover in two colorways, both a part of what seems like a new brand of FMV models. No further information is available at the moment, but stay tuned.

KAWS Dissected Companion 4 Feet Black Version

OriginalFake delivers a closer look into its latest release, a 4 foot black version of the brand’s Dissected Companion, developed by KAWS and produced by Medicom Toy. The lifesize creation looks to release today (Tokyo) at the OrigialFake flagship store, which should definitely make for an interesting scene. If you’ve got the loot to spend, the figure goes on sale in a few hours in Tokyo.

JustVim Movie Review: Bodyguards and Assassins

Movie Review

Synopsis: 1905, City of Victoria (British Colony of Hong Kong). Before Dr. Sun Yat-Sen can become the Father of Modern China by instigating the revolution of 1911 that overturns the Qing Dynasty, his life is almost cut short when he arrives at Hong Kong for a secret meeting to establish a united anti-Qing revolutionary front. In the distance of thirteen blocks, the one man Dr. Sun Yat-Sen who holds a nation’s fate must survive relentless attempts on his life with only five bodyguards, a group of ordinary men and women who actually possess extraordinary fighting skills. Against hundreds of assassins, these men must put their courage to the test in order to protect the hope of millions even if it means fighting to the death...

There’s really nothing more to say for this epic roller-coaster ride movie, cruising the tracks of post-modernising China, riddled with Patriotic bloodlines and deep feelings running through the film. The JustVim Crew won’t say it’s an epic fail, but it was one long movie before any real action came into the picture.

Audiences teased by footage of Donnie Yen doing parkour through a crowded marketplace and unleashing holy hell on Le Cung have a long wait ahead of them. Only once outspoken revolutionary and assassination target Dr. Sun Yat Sen arrives in Hong Kong, a good hour into the film, does the action really begin. When it does, however, it does so in spades. The second half of the film unfolds more or less in real time and basically consists of one long chase/scuffle through the centre of turn-of-the-century Hong Kong. The Resistance must protect Dr. Sun from Quo (Hu Jun) and his Qing assassins, so he can meet with the leaders of the 13 rebel factions and plot the uprising that will bring about the end of the Qing Dynasty.

There were definitely some exciting fighting scenes, however, if you were thinking Flashpoint or Jacky Chan’s flying dragon kicks, we hope you aren’t too disappointed with this film’s depiction of short but effective Parkour moves by Donnie Yen and some small fighting scenes by the big man.

We were impressed with the Tycoon and mastermind, Wang XueQi, for his benevolence to his followers, genrousity towards others and his patriotism and loyalty to his friends. He was a key player in this film, showing the stoic nature of a bull when faced with troubles and woes and also a warm, gentlemen when his followers are in dire straits. For the Crew, we felt that Donnie Yen was casted out of the limelight with his strange ethics and loose morals perfectly portraying his stylish gait and nifty street moves. I mean, find me a street thug who can flip and do KungFu like this Fighter here, and you might have a Bodyguards and Assassin 2 coming right up.

For most parts of this film, fighting and love was explored on a secondary basis, what was focused on was actually on the remaining few casualties fighting for Dr Sun’s survival, what’s left of his big aspirations for the unification of modern China, and his ultimate legacy that would soon morph Post-war, discombobulated, semi-colonial China into a new era of power and equality.

The pick-up was a little slow, unlike Rain’s Ninja Assassin, which starts on a delicately footnote, by slicing a Gansgster’s head, but it was definitely worth the wait seeing how the Behemoth fought the little street Assassins (they required 2 separate scenes of constant, heart-squeezing stabbing, whacking, poking and slicing to show the giant was finally dead, and yea, he survived the first horrific slashing by at least a dozen bloodied, unforgiving Assassins hell-bent on ripping him up!).

Then there was the totally laughable scene where the clean-shaven Leon Lai delayed the Assassins’ entry into Dr Sun’s House, with nothing more than an iron fan (which wasn’t even sharp to begin with!). that was a little dampening on the film’s remarkable tempo and excitement level, as it was not creative nor was it stimulating at all. We swore we heard the fella behind us yawn!

All in all, this is one hell of a film I won’t say you’d waste dough on, but if you want more action and fighting, drop it and find Avatar instead.
